INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS
Experts in Structural
Renewal & Rehabilitation.
Tarpon Contracting specializes in industrial coatings that protect critical assets, extend service life, and improve structural performance. Our expertise also includes concrete rehabilitation and expansion joint repairs, helping restore aging infrastructure and ensure long-term integrity. We utilize advanced Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) systems to strengthen and repair critical structures, and provide comprehensive cleaning and decontamination services for reservoirs, piping systems, and water towers, all performed to the highest industry standards for safety and quality.
Project Spotlight: Herridge Feeder Main
Canada's largest CFRP project, the 6 km Herridge Feedermain, faced deterioration after being inactive for 2 years. Rehabilitated using CFRP renewal systems and trenchless techniques, it's now fully operational.

THE LATEST FROM TARPON
Burlington Skyway Concrete Restoration
From soffit preparation and rebar blasting to shoring, patching, and surface edge repairs, every stage of this project demanded precision, coordination, and durability-focused execution. Our crew continued chipping and repairing deteriorated concrete, installed 20mm reinforcing bar around the hatch area, and completed extensive under-slab patching to restore structural integrity. Proud to showcase the work happening behind the scenes to keep critical infrastructure strong and built to last.

Highland Road Reservoir Rehabilitation
A new bulkhead—used to isolate and control water flow within the reservoir—is being installed as part of the repair. Tarpon Crews have cleaned and prepared the area, drilled dowel holes for anchoring, and completed forming, with concrete now placed to secure the structure. Work is progressing smoothly with a focus on structural integrity and long-term performance.

The process includes confined space setup, removal of the existing waterproofing system, and thorough surface preparation in line with manufacturer requirements. Two coats of Cem-Kote Flex ST are being applied to a minimum thickness of 1.6mm, creating a durable, long-lasting waterproof barrier.
